You know you want us... baby.
Want to go on a date with JURY but too shy to ask us out? That's all right, we're easy! But we're not for everyone, so here's the run-down:
We don't hold tryouts. We're a democratic clan and we vote new members in based on personality. We don't have any skill prerequisites (if you couldn't tell already...) and we're always newbie-friendly.
We are not a competition clan. Occasionally some members may get together and participate in a scrim or match, but we don't require it and we're generally very apathetic about the whole thing. If your goal is to be in a competitive clan and participate in organized match play, we're not the clan for you.
If you want to join, here are a few DOs and DON'Ts you'd be wise to observe:
| DO | Practice good sportsmanship. |
| DON'T | Gloat, taunt or insult people. (Except in good fun, of course!) |
| DO | Have fun playing the game. |
| DON'T | Take the game too seriously. |
| DO | Have a sense of humor. |
| DON'T | Use terms like "owned", "newb" or "llama" (or any variation thereof). |
| DO | Be patient! Democracy can take awhile! |
| DON'T | Nag us about joining. Jimmy Ray did and we made him wait two years. :) |
| DO | Talk to us on our message board. |
| DON'T | Build an army of killer robots and attempt a global takeover. |
| DO | Find us and play with us whenever you can. (This is an important one.) |
It should be noted that our existing members are expected to adhere to these guidelines just as adamantly as prospective ones. So don't think that you can ween your way in with a little good behavior and then let loose once you've got the tag; we'll boot your ass out faster than you can say "GUILTY!"
Don't be intimidated by that DON'T about nagging. If you're interested in joining, let us know. Chances are, if you play with us on a semi-regular basis and you're not a total jackass, we've already noticed you anyway.
As for how joining occurs, it goes like this: An existing member nominates a new player, and a discussion ensues. If anyone has any question about the merit of the candidate, or hasn't had a chance to play with them yet, the vote is postponed (this is where it can take awhile). Once everyone has made up their mind, a poll is started and we all vote on the prospective member.
Now here's the tricky part: If any single member votes NO, membership is automatically declined. Otherwise, we have a new member, and all that's left is for the newblood to relinquish all their earthly possessions and pledge their firstborn to Joker. But that's another story all together...
